A match from the women’s soccer championship and a WNBA match in Brooklyn will also have new dates because of health risks due to smoke.
The New York Yankees match vs. the Chicago White Sox will be a doubleheader on Thursday, and the Philadelphia Phillies’ clash vs. the Detroit Tigers will be played tomorrow.
“These postponements were determined following conversations throughout the day with medical and weather experts and all of the impacted clubs regarding clearly hazardous air quality conditions in both cities,” MLB said in a statement.
