Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has admitted he is not happy with the little playing time he has been getting since the start of the season. The 38-year-old Croatian has been less and less in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting line-up and hopes that will change in future.
“It’s certainly a new situation for me. I don’t play as often as I used to, and as much as I’d like to. You know that I want to always be on the field, I don’t want breaks, I just want to play. I don’t like what’s going on. If I was in bad physical shape, it would be different, but I feel great and I want to play if I have to, every three days,” Modric said at a press conference in his homeland before the European qualifier against Turkey.
“What is happening around me is a normal process. I take it that way. I have to adapt to the situation and move on,” he added.
