Roma coach Jose Mourinho was delighted after only his second Serie A win of the season, a 2-0 win over Frosinone.
“In the first half, we conceded a few chances in front of our goal. Let’s not forget that he also played as a midfielder in the defensive line. We managed because we were united and helped each other. Everyone helped defensively. I like the team to act as one”
Mourinho also said how quickly the coach’s status changes in a team: “Three months ago I was loved and needed. Panic set in at the thought that I might leave. Now I admit that the start of the season was terrible, but there are many reasons. I knew that we would show a different face against Frosinone, whether we won or not. It was not easy to react after the heavy loss against Genoa. The support of the fans has helped us a lot. I thank them. Some guys were under stress, but the supporters welcomed us after the Genoa game as if we had won.”
“My future? I have a contract until June 30 and I’m not worried. The coach must respect the owners of the club and not comment on anything. I work for them, for the fans and for the players. When things work out, I’m happy,” the coach of the “wolves” was categorical.
