John Hynes, who had 1 more year on his deal, was told today that he is dismissed from his duties as head coach immediately and will not be the franchise manager for the upcoming campaign.
Andrew was an associate coach with the New Jersey Devils last campaign, as before that, he led the Florida Panthers to the President’s Trophy.
Brunette did not stay with the Floridian franchise despite winning the President’s Trophy because Tampa Bay Lightning eliminated them in the 2nd round of the postseason.
Andrew will be the 4th manager in Nashville’s history.
Hynes was the Predators’ head coach in the last 3 years and made the playoffs each campaign, but his team was eliminated in the 1st round during his reign.
