A few days ago, the NBA launched an inquiry into the circumstances around the Beard’s comments that he will never play again for the 76ers as he is currently under contract with the organization.
The league found that James talked like that because he was promised a trade by the organization’s president Morey and after that, Daryl said that he would not trade the star and that he must report for the training camp with Philly in September.
The 76ers informed James that they couldn’t find a trade for him that would satisfy them, as Harden wanted to be traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. The Beard activated his 35.6 million dollar player option for the upcoming campaign with the 76ers in June as he was expected that Morey would trade him during the offseason, but now it seems like the Beard will have to play 1 more season with Philly.
