After Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard’s craving to compete only for the Miami Heat, his agent, the National Basketball Association, sent a memo to all 30 franchises today stating that anyone, or his agent, sharing that he won’t “fully perform the services called for under his player deal in the event of an exchange” will face disciplinary action.
Damian agent Aaron Goodwin shared with the media that other organizations don’t need to try to trade for his player because he only wants to continue his career with Miami Heat.
Lillard and Goodwin told the league that the player would fulfill his deal no matter where he was traded.
In the future, the NBA will punish comments like that from Damian or his agent. Damian spent his entire career in the league – 11 years – with Trail Blazers.
NBA sent a memo Friday to all 30 teams about Damian Lillard’s trade request and the stance that he only wants to play in Miami. Reporting details on @TheRally: pic.twitter.com/xkgMfcTeqI
