New NFL season will cause a major break from tradition

For the 1^st time ever, no network will be linked to any Sunday afternoon matches. In addition, no network is connected to 1:00 p.m. and 4:05 p.m./4:25 p.m. Eastern Time matches.

CBS broadcasted the NFC for many seasons, while NBC showed the AFC matches. After that, in 1994, FOX took the NFC package from CBS. 4 years after that, CBS stole the AFC package from NBC.

Neither network secured the games this season, and it will be an open year.

All the broadcasters will compete for NFL matches, and the best bid will secure any individual clash.
