20 more players revealed in new leaks

Italy’s illegal betting scandal is developing in full swing. According to the local media, 20 football players and the president of Lecce, Saverio Stiki Damiani, are being investigated.

So far, three footballers have been investigated – Niccolo Fagioli from Juventus, as well as the Italian nationals Niccolo Zaniolo and Sandro Tonali.

List of players the media claim are linked to illegal betting:

Juventus:
Niccolò Fagioli
Federico Gatti
Leonardo Bonucci (Union Berlin)

Milan:
Sandro Tonali (Newcastle)
Alessandro Florenzi

Roma:
Niccolo Zaniolo (Aston Villa)
Nikola Zalevski
Gianluca Mancini

Lazio:
Niccolo Roveglia
Alessio Romagnoli
Mathias Dzakani
Manuel Lazzari
Luca Pellegrini

Inter:
Nicolo Barella
David Frattesi
Raul Belanova

Cremonese:
Felix Athena Gian
Luca Dzanimacchia

Sassuolo:
Domenico Berardi

While the media in Italy continue to speculate who and on whose behalf has paid serious sums of money, betting mostly on Serie A matches, the puzzle is slowly unraveling and judging by the latest information from Italy, it even reaches the owners or presidents of the clubs.

One thing is striking, and that is that there are Italian footballers on the list of suspects for illegal gambling, and most of them were part of the country’s national team. All of them face multi-year sentences.
