Lando Norris survived and beat local favorite Charles Leclerc for the victory at the Monaco GP and secured vital 1st victory since the campaign opener.
Lando had controlled the race from pole position but was very close to losing the 1st place because of Max Verstappen’s strategy to stay until the last possible moment.

A new rule demanded 2 pit-stops but Max choose to wait until the last moment to make it as that allowed Charles to be so close to Lando in the finals laps of the race.
Despite that, Norris won the Monaco Grand Prix and now he is only 3 points behind his McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri, who secured the last place on the podium.
Lando, who was the favorite to win the championship before the beginning of the season, triumphed at the Australian GP in March, but after that, dropped from the 1st place in the championship to Oscar, who won 4 races since then.
Verstappen finished 4th after his pit stop, and the last place in the top 5 was for Lewis Hamilton.
