The International Olympic Committee (IOC) officially excluded the International Boxing Association (IBA) from its structures.
The decision was voted almost unanimously during the 140th meeting of the IOC held in Mumbai. 69 delegates voted in favor of the decision, one was against, and ten abstained.
At the beginning of the month, the IOC Executive Bureau recommended that the IBA be removed from the IOC structures because of the ongoing problems with the governance of the boxing organization.
The #IOCSession, meeting remotely, has withdrawn the recognition of International Boxing Association (IBA), upon the recommendation of the IOC Executive Board (EB).
Decision is based on the IOC Comprehensive Report on the Situation of the IBA, discussed by the IOC EB on 7 June.
