A disappointing season that has seen Man United record their lowest-ever EPL finish will end with a 2nd straight FA Cup final vs. the Sky Blues at Wembley later today.
But their goalkeeper claimed that securing the title, which would mean that the team from Old Trafford will play in the Europa League next season, would not be enough to salvage the campaign.
“It would definitely help a little,” André revealed. “It is always crucial to end seasons positively, and winning this match would mean we will play European football in the next campaign. We understand how crucial it is for us as footballers and the team to qualify for the European tournaments.”
Onana added that even if Manchester United beat their city rivals and won the FA Cup, the campaign can’t be described as successful because the expectations in the club are a lot higher.
