One dead and six injured during Napoli’s Scudetto celebrations

Naples had a sleepless night after the home team won the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years. Luciano Spalletti’s team secured the title after a 1-1 draw against Udinese on Thursday.

Unfortunately, amid the stormy joy throughout the city, there were casualties. One death was reported in Italy. He was hit by a bullet, probably accidentally fired by the cheering fans. The dead man is 26 years old. He was taken to hospital in serious condition, where he lost the fight for his life.

So far, six people have been injured. They have various injuries, mostly burns due to the use of pyrotechnics, but none are life-threatening.
