The forwards is going trough scoring drought for Washington
Washington forward Alexander Ovechkin shared his thoughts on the unsuccessful start of the season. His team won only one game in four of the 2023/24 season – over Calgary (3:2 after overtime).
The Russian also talked about his negative streak, which happened for the second time in his entire career. Ovechkin did not score a single goal in the first 4 games of the NHL season.
“Four games without goals? I’m trying to get closer to the goal. I have to do my job. I have to do everything in my power,” said the Washington captain. Capitals are facing Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday.
