Dallas Cowboys defender Micah Parsons put a goal ahead of himself to be 1 of the best among all-time bests. And that is having a negative effect during training because the defender is violating the key rule of not hitting the QB during the preseason.
“In Parsons’s situation, we have training ethic, rules, and structure to our exercises,” the Cowboys head coach shared. “You go through these situations all the time. You don’t strike the QB. The quarterback hasn’t been hit in training in the 30 seasons that I can recall in NFL.
That’s all part of teamwork, having discipline in your rush lane and discipline in your pass-protection unit, which is why you have off-season practice. We have many things to do in the area of technique and fundamentals.”
Parsons shared that he did all that to push himself to the limit and be at the best possible level each week that his franchise plays.
