Forward Patrick Kane will sign a contract with the Detroit Red Wings, US media reports on Tuesday.
Kane, 35, goes to Detroit as a free agent after leaving the New York Rangers at the end of the 2022/23 season.
For the Rangers, he played only 26 games, in which he scored six goals and added 12 assists. He previously played for the Chicago Blackhawks, where he had a lot more playing time in the span of 1,297 games, scoring 498 goals and making 859 assists.

Kane, who was taken by Chicago with the No. 1 pick in the 2007 draft, is a three-time Stanley Cup winner, nine-time All-Star, 2013 MVP, and top scorer in the 2015/16 season.
