The media asked Patrick if National Hockey League franchises spoke with him, but he shared that no one contacted him.
Roy is also part of the owners of the Quebec, and since 2005 he has been the manager of all but 5 years of the franchise, as he was a head coach for 3 campaigns in the NHL with Colorado Avalanche.
In his 3 seasons with Colorado, Patrick won the Jack Adams Award as NHL manager of the year in his debut campaign 2014. After that, however, Avs missed the postseason in his next 2 years, and he resigned.
