Joel Embiid couldn’t believe that the Philadelphia 76ers dismissed Doc Rivers. The Most Valuable Player winner had no role in his ex-coach firing, and the franchise president Daryl Morey shared that no basketball player in the team will part in hiring a new manager.
The Philly franchise has a lot of choices, as many head coaches who reached the NBA Finals are available. That is one of his arguments for Daryl to let go of Rivers after 3 straight years with 2nd round eliminations and look for a recognized coach who can win the title with the franchise.
“We’re taking a cautious process with the manager,” the 76ers president shared today. “We do not think it will happen fast.”
