Pepe broke the record of Roberto Donadoni and David Weir, as both players played in the Champions League at 40 years and 211 days in 2006 and 2011 respectively. With the win, Porto jumped to second place in group H, having six points – three less than the leader Barcelona and leaving Shakhtar and Antwerp behind them.
