All 20 Premier League teams met today and agreed to allow negotiations to determine how much the TV rights will be sold and how many matches will be shown live on TV.
However, it is clear that as many as 50 more matches can be broadcasted, with deals potentially spread over 4 years rather than the current 3 with Sky, TNT, and Amazon Prime.
This will be the 1st time PL has put its domestic rights for sale in 6 years.
Additional matches will mean more games being moved away from the Saturday 15:00 U.K. time slot.
The Premier League has already negotiated some 6-year overseas TV deals, including with the American broadcaster NBC, who will pay 2 billion dollars to broadcast games until 2028.
