The Spaniard was lured to the Emirates in the summer and since then has challenged Ramsdale No.1 status and more or less taken over it.
That has left many Arsenal fans divided with some believing that ditching Ramsdale was a mistake, while other are convinced that Raya is the required step forward.
“Everyone has their opinion. If they want to debate let them. I have a very good relationship with Aaron and both of us are there to help the team. In the end it is the manager who chooses who plays.” Raya said.
Arsenal go against Brentford this weekend and it is certain that Raya will not be featuring as his loan contract prevents him to. So this may be a golden opportunity for Ramsdale to reinstate his position.
