'Crazy things happen', he said

One of the most discussed topics during the British Grand Prix in Formula 1 is the future of Sergio Perez at Red Bull. Recently, reports have emerged suggesting that the Mexican driver might not be Max Verstappen’s teammate next season, despite having signed a new contract recently.

This has led to speculation that Daniel Ricciardo could be considered as a replacement for Perez. The Australian driver, when questioned about the rumors, responded cautiously.

“I would never make any predictions in this sport. My feeling is that with each passing year, everything becomes more complicated. Formula 1 is growing. There are more and more Hollywood elements, so to speak – in terms of the sport’s profile, narrative, and certainly its unpredictability,” he said.

“Do I have any evidence that I’ll go somewhere else? No. Crazy things happen, but I definitely can’t say, think, or predict anything. That’s why I just do my job,” he added.

Sergio Perez still has the opportunity to secure his place at Red Bull by significantly improving his performance. Unfortunately for him, he will start from 19th position at Silverstone after making a mistake in qualifying and getting stuck in the gravel.
