The Italian coach and Spurs departed on Sunday after what was reported as “mutual consent.”
Conte, who coached teams like Chelsea, Inter, and Juventus, gave a sincere press conference after the draw against Southampton 3-3 in which he attacked his players and the board.
Today it was reported that Richarlison and Cristian Romero had a role in his exit as they gave an ultimatum that either Antonio leave, or they will leave in the summer.
The Brazilian striker of Tottenham used social media to deny it:
“Questioning and criticizing me as a player for my performance is part of football, and I got it,” he said. “However, telling lies about me, I don’t accept! I’ve always had a lot of respect for Antonio and all my coaches.
“He helped me a lot in my coming to Tottenham, and whenever we had a problem (even if it was public), we solved it based on conversation and professionalism – and this he can confirm.
