Rivers named ASG manager after 1st win with Milwaukee

With his 1^st triumph as boss of the Milwaukee Bucks, Doc Rivers secured his 1^st ticket to the All-Star Game.

Milwaukee’s 129-117 comeback triumph against the Dallas Mavericks led the honor for Rivers and his staff, who will manage the East Conference team vs. the West on February 18^th in Indianapolis.

It’s not something that Doc, who is 1-2 since being appointed Bucks head coach on January 26^th, thinks he earned. Rivers shared that he will give his All-Star ring and bonus to Adrian Griffin, who had a 30-13 record at the helm of the organization before being dismissed and replaced by Doc. Bucks had a 2-1 record during interim head coach Joe Prunty.

“That is insanely awful. Without a doubt,” Doc shared of getting the All-Star position after 1 victory. “Well, Griffin is going to get some money, I guarantee it. And a ring. It’s 1 of these quirky things. I think there should be a rule that I can’t be named after such a short period on the team.”
