With his 1st triumph as boss of the Milwaukee Bucks, Doc Rivers secured his 1st ticket to the All-Star Game.
Milwaukee’s 129-117 comeback triumph against the Dallas Mavericks led the honor for Rivers and his staff, who will manage the East Conference team vs. the West on February 18th in Indianapolis.
“Maybe I’ll send my staff and I’ll go on vacation”
Doc Rivers was just as stunned as the rest of us finding out he’d be coaching the All-Star Game

It’s not something that Doc, who is 1-2 since being appointed Bucks head coach on January 26th, thinks he earned. Rivers shared that he will give his All-Star ring and bonus to Adrian Griffin, who had a 30-13 record at the helm of the organization before being dismissed and replaced by Doc. Bucks had a 2-1 record during interim head coach Joe Prunty.
“That is insanely awful. Without a doubt,” Doc shared of getting the All-Star position after 1 victory. “Well, Griffin is going to get some money, I guarantee it. And a ring. It’s 1 of these quirky things. I think there should be a rule that I can’t be named after such a short period on the team.”
