NY Jets QB Aaron Rodgers, who made the headlines in the past 3 months with his quest to return from a torn ACL faster than any footballer in the National Football League history, shared that he won’t play again this campaign.
But the quarterback plans to play in the upcoming season and beyond that.
His organization is officially eliminated from the postseason, and Rodgers indicates that there is no point in risking his health when the Jets can’t clinch the playoffs.
“If I were at 100% at the moment, I’d be pushing to be on the field,” Aaron claimed. “But the fact is, I’m not.”
The legendary QB, who underwent a procedure on September 13th, admitted it was always “unrealistic to think that I would be healthy enough to be medically cleared at any point during the regular campaign.” However, he was ready to risk his health if his team had a chance to make it to the playoffs.
.@craigcartonlive has a message for Aaron Rodgers 😬
“You’re not playing two years from now if you’re playing behind that offensive line. If I’m the New York Jets, I gotta go get five dudes who can play offensive line. If I do that, now you got a Super Bowl contending team.” pic.twitter.com/BC7tPoWqQI
