Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz has asked the Scuderia to decide his future before the start of next year.
Sainz arrived at Ferrari two years ago and showed solid results, which led to a new contract until 2024.
There has been speculation in the media that Ferrari is considering signing Lewis Hamilton, so Sainz’s future is in jeopardy and so the Spaniard is looking for a solution.
“I would not like to reveal what my strategy is in terms of negotiations. My position doesn’t have to be decided right away, but it has to happen before the start of next season,” Sainz said.
