The bill is 1 of at least 3 potential bills to be around Capitol Hill this summer as the NCAA and leaders across college sports push for the senators to decide to regulate how athletes can earn profit from their image rights.
That bill features even more details and focuses on schools sharing more transparency about their finances and the safe money they must provide athletes for post-career medical expenses.
“It will make college athletics better for everyone and more safe, and more and more people would want to be part of the system and do everything according to their power to be successful,” the Senators shared in a statement about the bill.
