Indiana president of basketball operations Kevin Pritchard and GM Chad Buchanan offered the maximum deal to the forward today – shortly after the league’s new early deal rules allowed for organizations to start discussions for extensions and free agent contracts with their own basketballers after the end of the postseason.
Pascal (30) plans to ink the deal once the NBA’s free agency moratorium ends on July 6th.
Siakam landed in Indiana in a blockbuster deal with the Raptors at the beginning of 2024 and has been a crucial part of the Pacers since then, as the franchise made it to the East Conference finals for the 1st time in a decade. Indiana received the forward in the final season of his Toronto deal, as they saw him as the best future partner of All-NBA guard Tyrese Haliburton.
