Both teams advanced to the round of 16 after the draw.

Slovakia and Romania finished 1-1 in Frankfurt as the point secured both nations’ place in the elimination phase of the Euro 2024. Before the match started, it was clear that a draw would mean that Slovakia and Romania would advance, and both nations didn’t surprise anyone and finished that way.

Both of the goals were scored in the 1st half as Verona midfielder Ondrej Duda secured the lead for Slovakia in the 24th minute, but Empoli midfielder Razvan Marin tied the result after converting a penalty in the 37th minute.

In the 2nd half, both teams didn’t take any risks and just waited for the match to end as Ukraine and Belgium also finished a draw, and that meant that Romania topped the group.
