His deal expires at the end of the year, and the FA are keen for the 53-year-old boss to keep his post and reach a decade at the helm of the Three Lions into the 1st 8-team World Cup to be held in the North America.
Gareth thinks about replacing Erik ten Hag if Man United decides to dismiss the manager after the end of the campaign.
Southgate shared that he remembers the World Cup in 1994 in the USA and describes it as a phenomenal tournament despite that England didn’t qualify for the competition.
Gareth added that at this time he can’t confirm that he will lead England at the World Cup in North America in 2 years as everything will depends on the results and he will think about that after the Euro 2024.
