The U.S. Attorney’s office shared that Lewis exploited his access to corporate boardrooms by sharing about companies he invested in his camp, which allowed them to earn millions.
Joe (86), who established the investment firm Tavistock Group, will face 16 charges for security fraud and 3 for conspiracy, as the crimes happened in the last 10 years.
Two of the businessman pilots will also face insider trading charges. They earned millions illegally, thanks to the information that Joe told them.
“We don’t know why he did it. Joe Lewis is very rich,” U.S. Attorney Damian Williams shared with the media. He has more than 6 billion dollars, according to Forbes.
