Women’s tennis legend Martina Navratilova, announced that she won the battle with breast and throat cancer. The 66-year-old Navratilova announced in January that she had been ill in phase 1 since November last year.
The Czechoslovak-born, naturalized American has 59 Grand Slam singles and doubles titles and is considered one of tennis’ greatest.

“The tests showed that I no longer have cancer. I still have radiation procedures left on my right breast, but only for two weeks and it is more preventive,” said Navratilova, quoted by Reuters.
The former tennis player was also diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010, but recovered.
