Tom Curry will face a disciplinary committee on Tuesday following his red card in the opening game of the World Cup against Argentina.
The 25-year-old received his marching orders in the 11th minute of the match, which eventually England won 27-10.
The flanker collided with Argentina’s Juan Cruz Mallia, which resulted in the pair clashing heads.
Curry initially received a yellow card, which was turned into red after a review.
“Tom Curry will appear before an independent judicial committee in Paris having received a red card for an offence contrary to Law 9.13 (dangerous tackle).” a statement from World Rugby said.
“At the player’s request, the hearing will take place on Tuesday evening, 12 September.”
England’s disciplinary record has been quite abysmal recently with the team receiving 3 red cards in the last 4 games.
