Trevor Lawrence has solidified his future with the Jacksonville Jaguars by signing a five-year contract extension worth $275 million, with $200 million guaranteed. The deal, which averages $55 million per season, ties Lawrence with Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals for the highest average annual value among NFL quarterbacks.

“We signed our name on the thing — so it’s official,” Lawrence said after finalizing the contract alongside his wife, Marissa. “Believe it or not, it’s a lot of pages to read through. It’s a lot of paperwork.”
Lawrence was approaching the final year of his rookie contract, which would have paid him $5.6 million in 2024, with the possibility of a franchise tag or entering free agency. However, he expressed his unwavering commitment to the Jaguars, dismissing any thoughts of moving to another team.
“The direction we’re heading on the football side, that makes it obviously a no-brainer for us,” Lawrence stated. “We’re headed in the right direction. I want to be the quarterback here. I want to bring a championship to Jacksonville. That’s my goal. I really know that we can accomplish that.”
