USA won against Germany 3-2 at Tampere Deck Arena in Tampere in front of 8000 people in a match from the 2023 IIHF World Championship for their 3rd victory in a row in the tournament.

The 1st period finished without goals, but Germany won the 2nd period 2-1 after goals from Samuel Soramies and Justin Schutz. The goal for the Yankees notched Ronnie Attard.
In the 3rd period, USA scored twice by Sean Farrell, and Matt Coronato from Calgary Flames netted the winning goal on power-play almost 5 minutes before the end of the game.

That was the 3rd victory for the USA in the World Championship, as they beat before that Finland and Hungary.
