USA’s Mikey ejected for kneeing Rasmus at the IIHF

USA’s Mikey Eyssimont was given a 5-minute major and game misconduct for kneeing Sweden’s Rasmus Sandin at the World Championship.

The occurrence happened in the 1^st period of the last preliminary round match for both national teams. Team USA beat Sweden 4-3 in OT and finished 1^st place in Group A.

Sweden’s player left the game after the hit and did not return to the ice till the end of the match.
