Valencia punished for Vini Jr. racism with shut stand

Valencia must close Mario Kempes stand for 5 games and will need to pay 45,000 euros for the racist abuse against Real Madrid’s superstar Vinicius Jr in the match on Sunday. The Spanish FA announced the penalty today.

The Spanish FA has sanctioned Valencia for their fans’ hurling of racial abuse against Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior:

The Mario Kempes stand, where the fans were heard to confront the Brazilian superstar of the Royal club, will be closed for the next home matches of the Bats.

“It is proven that, as the referee wrote in his notes, there was racist abuse aimed at Vini Jr., altering the normal course of the game, and the crimes are considered very severe.

“An economic sanction of 45,000 euros is also given to the Bats.”
