The defenseman is in his first year of the three-year deal with Canucks
Vancouver Canucks defenseman Carson Soucy suffered a lower-body injury and will be sidelined for six to eight weeks, ESPN reports.
He was injured in the second period of a regular season NHL away win vs the Montreal Canadiens (5:2) when he blocked a shot. Before the injury, the Canadian spent a total of over eight minutes on the ice.
Carson Soucy, who has already missed two Canucks games this season, has 5 points (2+3) in 13 games played. He’s averaging just under 17 minutes on the ice. Soucy, 29, is in the first year of a three-year deal with Vancouver, where he moved as a free agent from Seattle.
The Canucks are currently second in the Western Conference with 23 points after 15 games.
