The contract includes a player option after the end of the upcoming campaign, and he can fight for the starting point guard in the team. LA Clippers wanted to keep Westbrook after he played very well after joining the team.
The Clippers had the opportunity to offer him below 4 million dollars, but Russ decided to take it and continue to live and play in his native state.
Even after the disappointing end of the past season when the Phoenix Suns eliminated them in the playoffs, Westbrook shares that he loves to play for the Clippers and enjoys everything about the franchise.
