Wimbledon will give more than 10% more prize money in the 2023 edition of the grass Grand Slam as the singles champions will get home around 3 million dollars each.
The tournament’s total prize will be about 57 million dollars, the tournament director shared with the media. That is more than a 15% increase if we compare it with the last edition of the Grand Slam before the beginning of the pandemic.
Wimbledon directors added that the biggest prize fund increase would go to the tennis players in the early rounds as they need the biggest financial assistance to support their tennis careers.
