Atletico Madrid took a huge step to reach the Copa del Rey’s final after defeating Barcelona 4-0 at Metropolitano Stadium in the 1st leg of the ½ finals, and will travel to Catalonia for the 2nd leg with a 4-goal lead.
The 1st goal in the match came after only 6th minutes when Eric Garcia scored an own goal. Antoine Griezmann doubled Atletico Madrid’s lead in the 14th minute when he received the ball inside the box, and he netted inside the left post.

Things became even worse for the visiting team, because they were trailing 3-0 after 33 minutes as a phenomenal attack finished with an amazing assist of Alvarez to Ademola Lookman as the new forward of the home side made the advance of his team classic.
There was time for more, as in the extra time of the 1st half, Julian Alvarez ended his goal drought with a phenomenal goal as Lookman provided the assist.
At the beginning of the 2nd half, Barcelona thought that they scored, but after a long VAR review, the goal was disallowed for an offside.
