Early Life and Career
Durant displayed remarkable talent in basketball from a young age, emerging as a standout player in the Washington, D.C. area. He attended the University of Texas for a single season in 2006-2007, where he dominated collegiate basketball by averaging 25.8 points and 11.1 rebounds per game. His performance earned him numerous accolades, including becoming the first freshman to win the consensus national College Player of the Year award.NBA Career
Durant was selected second overall in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics. He quickly made an impact, winning the NBA Rookie of the Year Award. After one season, the franchise relocated to become the Oklahoma City Thunder, where Durant established himself as the face of the franchise.
