Getting DeMelo re-inked was a crucial order of business for Winnipeg, which could still lose centre Sean Monahan to free agency at the beginning of the next month.
The defenceman had 3 goals and 31 points in 82 matches in the past campaign, having 1 assist in 5 postseason matches. DeMelo finished 2nd on the Jets in average ice time this campaign at 21:43, as only Josh Morrissey spent more time on the ice than him.
Dylan is coming off of a 4-year contract at a cap his of 3 million dollars. He has also played for the San Jose Sharks and Ottawa Senators since being picked 179th overall in 2011 by San Jose.
