The San Francisco 49ers are still without WR Brandon Aiyuk, who has yet to return to the organization after sustaining a devastating right knee problem more than a year ago. With 6 matches left until the end of the regular campaign in the NFL in 2025, the chances are very high that he will not compete for them again.
During training camp, San Francisco voided the guaranteed money Brandon has in his deal for next year because he had not been meeting the requirements of that contract. The wide receiver had a bonus worth almost 25 million dollars, and it became guaranteed on April 1st in 2025, but now the 49ers have found a way to void it.
The WR is also scheduled to receive a 1.215 million dollar base salary and has additional benefits for workouts and per match appearances available as well. But it’s unclear at the moment if Aiyuk would get any of that money, as the voiding of his next year’s guarantee clears the way for the franchise to part ways with him very soon.
