Five-star player Boogie Fland shared his commitment today, selecting John Calipari and Kentucky over Indiana.
Alabama was also on the guard’s final list of 3, but this became a Kentucky vs. Indiana battle over the past month. The Hoosiers were the favorites to land the Fland, but Calipari and the Wildcats were able to convince him to pick them at the last possible moment.
“Being there played a huge part in my choice,” Fland shared with the media. “It was elite. It blew me away. The setup there is the best; the gym is right beside where we sleep. My host was D.J. Wagner. We played USA Basketball together, and it was fantastic. On my visit, I watched trainings and what the guys do in the gym. You face the best daily, and that motivates me.”
Boogie is the number 2 guard in the 2024 class and is a huge prospect for an elite career in the NBA.
This is what committing to Kentucky looks like.
