Aaron Judge has been removed from the injured list and is expected to make his return for the New York Yankees on Friday against Baltimore.
Judge has been sidelined since early June with a toe injury, but has gone through a successful simulated game on Wednesday, manager Aaron Broone announced.
Following Yankees’ victory over Mets, Broone declared that he is uncertain if Judge will return, but all signs point out to that.
“We’ll kind of see where we’re at tomorrow,” Boone said. “I’m not sure if he’s going to run through a workout or if rehab stuff’s on the table. I don’t know that yet. When I talk to him and get with the trainers we’ll come up with a plan.”
His return is a welcomed sight for New York, who have struggled in his absence and find themselves at the bottom of the Eastern table.
