Judge has been on the injured list since June 3, when he tore a ligament in his right toe after colliding with the right-field fence.
Yesterday general manager Aaron Boone shared that Judge had went through a successful simulated game on Wednesday at the team’s complex in Tampa, Florida.
His return is a major boost for the Yankees, who have struggled in his absence, going 19-23. In comparison, they were 30-19 before his injury.
Judge set an AL record with 62 home runs last year. He is batting .291 with 19 homers and 40 RBIs in the first season of a $360 million, nine-year contract he signed last offseason.
