The New York quarterback suffered a heavy injury at the start of the season

Aaron Rodgers has reportedly attended a Jets’ team meeting on Saturday night and is expected to make an attendance at their clash against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night.

The 4-time NFL MVP had been healing at his home at Malibu ever since sustaining a heavy injury on his Achilles tendon on his debut, which practically ended his season.

The 39-year-old hinted earlier this week that he might be about to make his first public appearance after being given the green light by the doctors.

“I would love to have him back, but whenever it is safe for him to travel,” coach Robert Saleh said. “I know he wants to get back, but I’m not exactly sure where that is on the timeline.”

Rodgers’ potential appearance will undoubtedly hand a major morale boost for the Jets as many of his teammates did not hide their excitement.

“That would be awesome to have as good of a football mind as he is around the team for, you know, someone like me to be able to bounce my thoughts off and see what he’s thinking,” wide receiver Garrett Wilson said.
