The Saudi Pro League champions triumphed in 6 of 12 matches this campaign and lost 2-0 against Air Force Club of Iraq in the Asian Champions League a few days ago.
Nuno became Al-Ittihad’s head coach in July 2022 after being dismissed by Spurs almost a year earlier.
Assistant manager Hassan Khalifa will replace him in the near future.
Ex-Wolverhampton manager Julen Lopetegui has been approached for the job, but he denied the opportunity as he is waiting for the chance to coach in the Premier League again.
The Spaniard was replaced by former Bournemouth head coach Gary O’Neil in August after guiding Wolverhampton to a 13th-place finish last campaign. Still, if Al-Ittihad offered a huge sum of money, Lopetegui could be willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia.
