Italian legend Paolo Maldini is the top candidate for Al Ittihad director job, Fabrizio Romano reports on Friday.
Former AC Milan technical director is set to decide his future soon with Al-Ittihad serious possibility being considered. Maldini was fired by Milan owner Gerry Cardinale after the end of last season and is looking for new options in his career as a director.

Al Ittihad recently fired Nuno Espirito Santo and are looking for a new manager as well. The club was one of the most active on the market this summer, signing the 2022 Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema alongside Fabinho from Liverpool and N’Golo Kante from Chelsea. Luiz Felipe also left Betis to join the Saudi Arabia team who is struggling in the championship, standing fifth – 11 points away from league leader Al Hilal.
