Carlos eliminated Jannik to reach his 1st ever Roland-Garros final.

Carlos Alcaraz, world number 3, won the match against world number 2, and from the new week new number 1, Jannik Sinner, and advanced to the Grand Slam final on clay in Paris for the 1st time ever as both tennis players spent more than 4 hours on the court.

The Italian dominated in the 1st set as he allowed his Spanish opponent to break his serve, but on the other hand, Sinner converted 3 break points from 4 chances and close the set 6-2.

However, Alcaraz triumphed in the 2nd set as he needed 2 breaks to win the set as he allowed Sinner only 1 break.

Jannik took the lead again by winning the 3rd set as he saved 6 break points and allowed Carlos to break his serve only once but converting 2 break chances from 4 opportunities.

After the 3rd set, Sinner was visible not at his best fitness level and Alcaraz took advantage and won the 4th set to tie the sets 2-2 as the Spaniard needed only 1 break to triumph as his Italian opponent didn’t have any break chances.

In the final set, Carlos again won after only 1 converted break as Jannik again finished the set without break opportunities as the Italian fitness condition without a doubt cost him the chance to be more competitive.

Alcaraz will play in the final at the French Open on Sunday against Zverev or Ruud.
